Introduction to Crafting
Crafting is similar to how it appears in most other games – you gather resources and put them together in specific combinations to get better, more useful items. The first instance of crafting released in DFK – the Alchemist in Serendale – relied exclusively on items that you can get from looting with the Level 0 Profession Quests. As the game continues to evolve, we’re likely to see more ways for our heroes to find loot and larger, more complex recipes to craft for awesome potions and equiment.
This page is a summary of the crafting options we currently have available in-game and a hint as to what is yet to come.
The Alchemist makes potions. Taking the most basic look found during the Level 0 Profession Quests, plus a bit of gold, Herbert the Alchemist makes potions that will help with Combat – both PVE and PVP. These include potions that help to restore some or all of your health, your mana or your stamina. There’s loads more options, so why not check out the full breakdown of The Alchemist here:
The Stone Carver
This part-time crafting merchant is responsible for putting together the Lesser Enhancement Stones, which are used for Summoning heroes. For a full walk-through for the Stone Carver can be found here:

Upcoming Crafting Options
Before the Pets expansion dropped on DFK, all we knew about crafting was that it was on the roadmap and that it would likely involve equipment and weapons. But, given the bonuses on the pets as seen above filter list for the Pet Catalog, we know there’s going to be a lot more to it than that.
Listed under the Crafting bonuses are Blacksmithing, Goldsmithing, Armorsmithing, Woodworking, Leatherworking and Tailoring. Once these features are out, I’ll cover them all here on DFK Eggspert.
